Now that in most parts of the country, cold weather has settled in and those backyard barbecues are ‘put to sleep’ or let’s say ‘in hibernation’ until the first sign of Spring or Summer. Everyone wants to be sure that their ‘backyard baby’ (barbeque ) will be in fine shape when the season or warm weather returns. And the best way to keep your barbecue in shape is to be sure you cover it with one of the good quality barbeque covers. But even for those that live in weather conditions where it is possible to barbeque all year ’round I still recommend covering the barbeque until your next use.
A thorough cleaning first and of course be sure that the barbeque is cool and then cover so it is ready for next time! It is always difficult to get off all the grease and grime from a whole season of barbequing, but with patience and hard work you can have your barbecue ready for the next season of grilling.
You wouldn’t get a coat two times too big or two times too small to wear so your grill covers should be the perfect size as well for ulitmate protection. It is a cooking tool, and you use it to cook your food so it is really important, like any cooking tool, to keep it dust free and keep the bugs out. Cover your pool, yoru boat and your barbeque for the winter or at least till next time of use.
And don’t just think of barbequing burgers..try grilled pizza, fish, fruits, veggies also… make a marinade with extra virgin olive oil and the food is ready for the grill.
If you want to show support for your alma mater to friends and neighbors or show off to your old college buddies and clasmates the next time you throw a barbecue…. how about a college grill cover. For those of you that can grill outside all year around, just think of the conversation piece this creates..’fodder’ for a discussion on your favorite alma mater as you ’sup’ on the great foods just produced from your grill. And even if you don’t grill all year round it is a clever way to have your school logo displayed all year ’round.
