What to wear what to wear..notice how medical personnel have gotten pretty ..well stylish..

Those fashionable  print scrub jackets..yes that’s right I said scrubs jackets..Colorful, even stylish scrub jackets!

Now you too have a  reason to wake up in the morning..to look forward to getting dressed and ready to go out the door in the morning.

If you are in the medical field and want a  colorful  print scrub top to keep your wardrobe bright and snappy even when at work and in uniform, you can certainly find one online  a wonderful selection of stylish scrubs.The latest styles are available there and well.. even though I am not in the medical field I am thinking of ordering   landau medical scrubs  looking so comfortable. The colors are bright and the shoes they look so comfy as do the pants..Do you think they anyone will notice that I am wearing scrubs..Oh well it’s worth a try!

My latest bestselling book gives a special thanks to my stylist for helping me develop and create my style throughout the years..however a review critic found this ‘strange’ and made a comment that this has nothing to do with a cookbook.

Eve though my book is not just a cookbook it is a recipe novel, I find it ‘strange’ that someone does not see any connection between food, cuisine, fashion and style. Is this just an American thing?? Well now along comes a Fashion brand that mirrors my style of food..Lucky Brand. It stands for a time when quality and pride came first..just like artisan foods.    They are produced using the methods that were created when pride and quality (not quantity) came first.

What began as  a brand of jeans,   Lucky Brand  has  now expanded into jewelry, clothes, accesories,handbags, eyewear. The styles and quality actually take you back to a time of small town America.  when it was ‘the norm’ to smell fresh apple pies ,made from scratch baking in the oven. 

But the one thing that I really love is that even though Lucky Brand harkens to the time of small town America, they also have their own style and don’t do it like anybody else..much like creating your own recipes. Follow that recipe and make soemthing ‘from scratch’ but add a touch of your own style and don’t compromise your style in giving up quality. The same philosophy I express in cooking.

And yes ,my books, even though the main subject is food and cooking are also related to style ..my style..

 Retro food is in..from comfort foods ,to preparing things from ‘scratch’. In the US of course we have macaroni and cheese,apple pie, meatloaf. In Italy retro is coming back in style- fashion, cars, clothing, design. Foods..can still be found that are prepared fresh and made by hand.. that is what the Slow Food Movement is for..so no need for retro food there, just retro style..

Retro style  is coming back  in the US and some of it is also in a ‘green form’. Chevrolet has introduced a retro styled ’1940 ish’ looking car the HHR or Heritage High Roof. It gets 32 miles to the gallon and is stylish for the small package it comes in…

So far the chevrolet reviews have been very favorable. Why I can just see myself ‘whizzing’ around the curves in Amalfi or the Riviera…hmmm.. maybe we wil take this on our next drive to the Italian Riviera…Great for gas mileage also and enough style to fit in….

But many of the chevrolet cars, including the Malibu hybrid-make it easy to be stylish at a reasonable cost and ‘green’ also. The Malibu has a hybrid engine so it is environmentally friendly and I think I could see myself taking a drive to the beach or the city in this beauty.. and use the money  saved  for a great bottle of wine..to have with dinner..when I am not driving…of course..

Just yours truly, expressing style through cars, food & wine… and the Italian Riviera..
