Pair Melon With Port Wine

Summer desserts that are sweet, simple ,easy, no oven needed.. are my favorite types of desserts during the lazy, hazy last days of summer.

If you need a quick dessert for a dinner or picnic on one of the remaining hot days of summer..get thee to a farmer’s market or a place where you can buy locally produced  melons in season..

Cantaloupe & Port

1 cantaloupe

1/2 cup Port Wine

Wash melon, cut in half, scoop out melon halves and cut into cubes, leave melon shells intact. Arrange cubes in melon halves and pour port wine over the cubes. Stir gently to distribute wine evenly. Serve chilled.
