New Year’s eve is always filled with a bit of nostalgia for the past and new for the year to come…


Served with Percorino Spumante Brut-produced locally in Campotosto, L’Aquila Italy

Piatti di Antipasti (Antipasto dish)-olives from Sicily, alici (anchovies marinated in olive oil with parsley) fresh mozzarella, smoked salmon, porovolone cheese, Emmenthal cheese

Zuppa Di Lenticchie (Lentil Soup)-  a longstanding tradition-for good luck and prosperity in the New Year

Risotto Mantecata- made with Spumante

Gratinate di frutti di mare– shrimp, clams and calamari, baked with a beschamel sauce

Insalata- Salad of fresh arugula,,celery

Crème Brulee di Panettone-this is a crème brulee made with Panettone-a new addition to this year’s table

Fresh fruit plate-with oranges from Sicily and apples from Trentino


This meal took almost as long to eat as to prepare..but enjoyed every minute of it…
